Bengals TE Tyler Eifert is expected to miss "multiple weeks" with his back injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Eifert doesn't need back surgery "at this time," Schefter adds. It's still unclear if this is related to the back issue that cost him the final 2 games of last season. Either way, multiple back problems in a span of less than a year is a major concern. Eifert is droppable in shallower fantasy leagues and can't be counted on as a fantasy asset anytime soon.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert said he's "doing pretty much everything" in offseason workouts. "There's a couple things here and there but for the most part it's all doing everything with the guys," he added. That's about as good as it gets for Eifert nowadays. He's played in just 14 games over the past 3 seasons and had his 2018 campaign ended by a broken ankle. Fantasy owners obviously can't rely on Eifert as a TE1 this coming year -- but he's still capable of producing when healthy. He caught 15 balls for 179 yards and a score in his 4 games last season and is still just 28. Eifert is a fine shot to take late in best-ball drafts, ideally as your 3rd TE.

The Bengals have re-signed TE Tyler Eifert to a 1-year deal. We didn't hear of any other teams showing interest in the 28-year-old, who has missed 34 games over the past 3 seasons. Cincinnati gave TE C.J. Uzomah a 3-year, $18 million contract earlier this week, so we'll see how the team plans to divvy snaps between the 2. Eifert retains upside if he can ever stay on the field, but he's just a late-round flier in best-ball drafts right now.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert fractured his right ankle in Sunday's win over the Falcons, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Eifert is expected to have surgery and will miss the rest of the season. C.J. Uzomah already leads Cincinnati TEs in snaps. He and Tyler Kroft will both enter the fantasy radar going forward.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert appeared to dislocate his right ankle in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game against the Falcons. He's obviously done for the day -- and this could be a season-ender.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) has passed his physical and been activated from the PUP list. He missed some time this spring and the first week of training camp after reportedly tweaking his back. We'll now see if Eifert can put together a healthy August. He's the biggest injury risk at any position this season, according to Sports Injury Predictor. But that's largely baked into his 13th-round ADP. Eifert remains a good bet for top-10 production whenever he's on the field.
