Dolphins HC Adam Gase believes injuries have been the culprit for WR DeVante Parker's disappointing career so far. “I don’t think there is any question what anybody feels he can do. I don’t even think it’s a potential thing. I think it’s a health thing," Gase said. "I think it’s just about however we can keep him healthy." Parker has missed 5 games and been limited in a few others by foot, ankle, hamstring and back injuries through 3 NFL seasons. He did average a career-high 4.4 catches and 51.5 yards per game last year -- a 16-game pace of 70 catches and 824 yards. There's upside beyond those numbers in 2018 ... if Parker can stay healthy. He's still just 25 and saw target hog Jarvis Landry depart this offseason.

Recent Shark Bites

The Dolphins have named Chan Gailey their OC. Gailey has been out of the league since 2016 but has 14 years of experience as a HC or OC with 7 different teams. His track record is largely uninspiring, though, with only 4 of those 14 teams finishing top 10 in yards and 4 finishing top 10 in points. Gailey has tended to skew toward the run, landing 11 offenses inside the top half of the league in rushing attempts. We'll keep an eye on his plans for a Dolphins offense that will have a bunch of new pieces in 2020.

The Dolphins have fired OC Chad O'Shea. The move is mildly surprising because it feels like Miami overachieved on offense this season -- although they still ranked just 25th in points, 27th in yards and 29th in yards per play. We'll see who HC Brian Flores and the Fins tab as O'Shea's replacement. This offense figures to have a bunch of new pieces in 2020, alongside building blocks DeVante Parker and Mike Gesicki.

The forecast for today's Dolphins-Giants game calls for sustained winds of 20 mph with gusts of 25+. That's enough to impact the deep-passing and kicking games. Give slight downgrades to the QBs and Ks in this game. And the downfield prowess of WRs like DeVante Parker and Darius Slayton figures to be compromised.

Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (concussion) is active for today’s game against the Giants. He’s a WR2 with upside in this matchup with the league’s 27th-ranked WR defense. WR Albert Wilson (concussion) is also active but would be a desperation fantasy play.

Dolphins WR DeVante Parker has been cleared to play in Sunday’s game against the Giants, ESPN reports. Parker left last week’s game early with a concussion but should get back into your fantasy football lineups. WR Albert Wilson has also been cleared to return from his concussion. The returns make WR Isaiah Ford a poor fantasy option this week
