Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has been medically cleared and will start Sunday's game against the Colts, the team announced Monday. Philly has been extremely cautious bringing Wentz back from last December's torn ACL and LCL in his left knee. He's reportedly been throwing well in practice, but his mobility inside and out of the pocket remains a question. Wentz will be a risk/reward Week 3 fantasy play in a plus matchup. His return is excellent news for the rest of the Eagles' skill-position guys. QB Nick Foles totaled 451 yards with just 1 TD and 1 INT over the first 2 weeks.

Recent Shark Bites

Eagles QB Carson Wentz sustained a concussion in the 1st half of Sunday's Wild Card loss to the Seahawks. It shouldn't impact his offseason but is worth filing away in case of another head injury. This was Wentz's 1st documented concussion.

The Weather.com forecast for East Rutherford, N.J., calls for the chance of rain ramping up in the 4 p.m. ET hour and then climbing every hour thereafter today. That, of course, is the home of MetLife Stadium, where the Giants will host the Eagles for the regular-season finale. The forecast doesn't call for much wind, which historically impacts passing games more than rain. But keep the conditions in mind if you're down to splitting hairs on a close decision or 2 for your fantasy football lineup.

Eagles QB Carson Wentz has a "little bruise" on his right hand, HC Doug Pederson said Monday. Wentz actually briefly went back to the locker room with this injury in yesterday's loss to the Seahawks but didn't end up missing any snaps. Pederson labeled Wentz "day to day" and confirmed that he'll be fine for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

QB Carson Wentz and the Eagles have agreed to a 4-year, $128 million contract extension with nearly $108 million of it guaranteed. The extension tacks on to the final 2 years of his rookie deal, keeping Wentz in Philly through the 2024 campaign. His last 2 seasons have ended with injuries, a torn ACL and LCL in 2017 and a stress fracture in his back last year. But he's averaged 265 yards and 2.25 TDs across his last 24 games. Armed with a deep and talented group of pass-catchers, Wentz has top-5 fantasy upside in 2019 and for years to come.

Eagles QB Carson Wentz (back) will have "no limitations" in OTAs this week, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "The team will be smart with him, of course, but he’s expected to be involved in the majority of all work," Rapoport adds. Wentz missed the final 3 games of last season -- plus 2 playoff games -- with a stress fracture in his back. It'll certainly be a situation to monitor this summer, but he's obviously on track to be ready for Week 1. A healthy Wentz boasts top-5 fantasy upside.
