Buccaneers TE O.J. Howard is expected to play today against the Falcons, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Howard is officially questionable with the MCL sprain that knocked him out of Week 4 early. He practiced all week, though, including a full workout Friday. He'll be a risky fantasy option on his own. Howard's return complicates the outlook, however, for Cameron Brate -- 1 of the week's most popular fantasy options at TE. There's still room or Brate to produce worthwhile fantasy numbers with Howard in the lineup, but Howard's return will likely hurt Brate's playing time. In DFS lineups, especially, you might want to pivot to someone such as Steelers TE Vance McDonald at similar prices and lower expected ownership.
Bucs TE O.J. Howard (ankle) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. Ditto for TE Cameron Brate (ribs), who should be back to his usual role after being limited to 11 snaps last week. Howard is the ultimate risk/reward Week 10 fantasy play against the Cardinals’ 32nd-ranked TE defense.
Bucs TE O.J. Howard (hamstring) put in a full practice on Wednesday. It's confirmation that he'll return for this weekend's game against the Cardinals. Howard, averaging just 3 targets per game this season, is tough to feel great about. But he remains a big talent and draws 1 of the league's worst TE defenses on Sunday.
Bucs HC Bruce Arians said Monday that TE O.J. Howard (hamstring) "should be ready to roll" for this weekend's game against the Cardinals. That's a dream matchup, but Howard still figures to land on the TE1 fringes in our Week 10 rankings after averaging just 3 targets across his 6 games this season.
Bucs TE O.J. Howard (hamstring) remained sidelined on Thursday, but TE Cameron Brate (ribs) returned to a limited practice. We're tentatively expecting Brate to play against the Seahawks this weekend, but check back tomorrow for another update.
Bucs TE O.J. Howard (hamstring) is out for this weekend's game against the Titans. It looks like he injured that hammy on Wednesday because he didn't practice on Thursday or Friday. Howard's status for Week 9 and beyond is uncertain. His absence on Sunday should mean something close to an every-down role for TE Cameron Brate. Howard, of course, wasn't producing much in that role. But Brate is at least a low-level spot-start option at the weak TE position.
