NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that Eagles RB Josh Adams (hip) is "on track" to play against the Redskins on Monday night. The rookie was added to the injury report and limited in Saturday's practice. That obviously adds some risk to his Week 13 outlook. But if he's clearly your best option, it seems fine to keep him in fantasy lineups.
Eagles RB Josh Adams underwent shoulder surgery in January to repair a labrum injury, NJ.com's Mike Kaye reports. Adams is expected to be sidelined for 6 months, which would put him back on the field for the start of training camp. Still, the missed time is bad news for a guy who figures to be fighting for a roster spot after the Eagles added RB Jordan Howard.
Eagles RBs Josh Adams (hip) and Darren Sproles (hamstring) are active for tonight's game against the Redskins. Adams popped up on the injury report on Saturday, so he comes with a bit more risk tonight. Sproles is a fantasy flier in his 1st action since Week 1.
Eagles RB Josh Adams (hip) was added to the injury report on Saturday and limited in practice. He's listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Redskins. We'll hopefully get an update on Adams' status on Sunday morning. If he can't play, Philly would be down to Corey Clement, Wendell Smallwood and Darren Sproles, who's expected back from his hamstring injury.
Undrafted free agent RB Josh Adams signed with the Eagles. After sharing the backfield during his first 2 seasons at Notre Dame, Adams broke out as the Irish’s lead back this past year. He carried 206 times for 1,430 yards (6.9 YPC) and 9 scores. Adams averaged a whopping 5.2 yards after contact per attempt — easily the best among draft-eligible backs — and earned Pro Football Focus’ 2nd-best Elusive Rating. The 6’2, 213-pounder showed well in the pre-draft process, earning a 64th percentile SPARQ score. We didn’t love the tape, though. Adams is a straight-line, somewhat stiff runner who needs a wide alley to really get going. He also comes with a worrisome injury history that includes a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in high school and nagging knee and ankle trouble throughout his time at Notre Dame. There’s some committee-back potential here, although going undrafted certainly puts a damper on his fantasy football outlook. Adams is a long shot for 2018 fantasy value in a crowded Eagles backfield. But note that RB Jay Ajayi is set to hit free agency next offseason.
