ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Bills have reached a 1-year, $2 million deal with RB Frank Gore. The 35-year-old (until May) lost the final 2 games of last season to a foot injury but posted 4.6 yards per cary before that -- his best mark since 2012 with the Niners. Gore joins a backfield that looks like it'll still be led by LeSean McCoy, but McCoy managed the 2nd-fewest carries of his career in 2018, tallying the fewest rushing yards (514) and yards per carry (3.2) of his career. It's an upside spot for Gore as a fantasy handcuff. Buffalo also still has veteran RB Chris Ivory around, though he sports a cuttable contract. We'll see what else the Bills do with their backfield this offseason.
Dolphins RB Frank Gore is expected to miss the final 2 games of the season with his sprained foot, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. They'll be Gore's 1st missed games since 2010. With Gore sidelined for most of yesterday's loss to the Vikings, Kenyan Drake out-snapped Kalen Ballage 28 to 26. But Ballage carried 12 times and saw 1 target, while Drake finished with 1 carry and 3 targets. This will be a backfield to try to avoid in Week 16 against the Jaguars.
Dolphins RB Frank Gore suffered a sprained foot in Sunday's loss to the Vikings, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He’ll undergo an MRI tomorrow to determine the extent of the damage. Check back then for an update.
Dolphins RB Frank Gore suffered a left leg injury in the 1st half of Sunday's game in Minnesota. He didn't put any weight on the leg as he was helped off the field and was then carted back to the locker room. We'll update Gore's status when we learn more.
The Dolphins released their 1st "unofficial" depth chart Sunday, which included listing Frank Gore and Kenyan Drake as co-starters at HB. It's not a surprising move but indicates how important Miami coaches want the veteran back to be. We're still betting on Drake leading the workload and backfield receiving, but it'll be interesting to see exactly how the Dolphins split touches between them.
The Dolphins have signed RB Frank Gore to a 1-year deal, according to insider Armando Salguero. It's a homecoming for Gore, who played his college ball at The U. The soon-to-be 35-year-old is on his last legs now, averaging less than 4.0 yards per carry in 3 straight seasons. He figures to be more of a veteran presence in Miami than a threat to Kenyan Drake's lead role. Consider it good news for Drake's 2018 fantasy value if this is all the Fins add to the backfield.
