Seahawks WR Josh Gordon is active for tonight's game against the 49ers. We'll be keeping a close eye on how big a role he plays in his team debut, but he's nothing more than a DFS flier tonight.
The NFL is reinstating Seahawks WR Josh Gordon, Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports. Glazer adds that Gordon will be eligible to play in the final 2 games of the season, so it sounds like it's not an immediate reinstatement. The timing means that you can continue to ignore Gordon in redraft leagues. Perhaps he'll make an impact in the playoffs for Seattle.
The Seahawks have re-signed WR Josh Gordon. The 29-year-old played 5 games for Seattle last year, tallying just 7 catches on 11 targets for 139 yards. He didn't catch more than 2 balls in any of those 5 outings. Gordon is still waiting to hear back from the league on his application for reinstatement, so it's unclear when he'll actually be available. We'll also need to see how the back of the Seahawks' WR depth chart shakes out between Gordon, Phillip Dorsett and Paul Richardson -- but none will be a viable fantasy option without an injury to Tyler Lockett or D.K. Metcalf.
The Seahawks will try to re-sign WR Josh Gordon if he's reinstated by the league, according to ESPN's John Clayton. Gordon spent 5 games with Seattle last year, totaling 7 catches for 139 yards. He'd have a good shot to slide in as the #3 WR behind Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf this season -- but would likely struggle for reliable fantasy value in the Seahawks' run-leaning offense. Still, there are worse late-round fliers in best-ball drafts. Gordon filed for reinstatement a month ago and is hoping to get a decision from the league soon.
Seahawks WR Josh Gordon has been suspended indefinitely for violating the league's policies on performance-enhancing substances and substances of abuse. It's his 5th suspension. This could and probably should be the end of Gordon's NFL career. Seattle will go back to WRs David Moore and Malik Turner behind Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf.
Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said there's a "good chance" WR Josh Gordon plays against the 49ers on Monday night. "He did really well," Carroll said of Gordon's first week of practice with the team. "He was very impressive in terms of picking stuff up, studying overtime. He fit in really well. He's a really good athlete. You can really tell that he's got a lot of potential to be a big-time player, so it was fun to see him on the practice field. He did a nice job." We'll see exactly how big a role Gordon plays after joining the team a little over a week ago, but he shouldn't be in Week 10 fantasy lineups.
