Vikings S Harrison Smith left Sunday's win over the Broncos late with a left hamstring injury. He gets a well-timed Week 12 bye, so we'll see about Smith's status for Week 13.
Vikings S Harrison Smith had surgery this offseason on the high ankle sprain that ended his 2016 campaign early, according to ESPN.com. Smith had said in January that he would not need surgery. He's still expected to be ready for the 2017 season. IDP owners should keep an eye on whether he starts training camp on time, but this isn't a situation to worry about in spring.
Vikings S Harrison Smith (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Packers. He missed the past 2 games but returned to the practice field this week. Smith put in a limited workout Thursday and then full participation Friday. We'll see about Smith's game status, though there's still some risk here. Smith has been a solid tackle producer when healthy this year but hasn't deliver much in the big-play departments. He'll be a just-OK IDP option if active.
The St. Paul Pioneer-Press reports that Vikings S Harrison Smith will miss Sunday's game against the Jaguars with a Grade 3 high left ankle sprain, the most severe variety. There's also reportedly a chance that Smith will miss the rest of the season. The injury certainly doesn't bode well for his participation over the next 3 weeks. IDP owners can go ahead and drop Smith for an immediate option. The Vikings' team D takes a hit with the Smith loss but remains a top fantasy option -- especially this week at Jacksonville.
Vikings S Harrison Smith had a walking boot on his left foot and left the stadium on crutches after Thursday night's loss to the Cowboys, according to USA Today's Tom Pelissero. Smith has been playing through a left ankle issue, which might have gotten worse against Dallas. Smith now gets a long week before Minnesota's next game, so we'll see about his status next week -- or sooner if the team provides any updates.
Vikings S Harrison Smith hurt his left knee in Sunday's loss to the Packers, though he missed just 5 snaps with it in that game. He sat out Wednesday's practice but has downplayed the injury this week, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. We'll see how he progresses through the practice week.
