San Francisco GM John Lynch said Friday that WR Kendrick Bourne has been cleared to travel with the team for Sunday's game in New Orleans. That precedes word of Bourne being activated from the COVID list -- after he returned to it Monday -- but suggests that is coming. Expect Bourne to be in the lineup against New Orleans. That doesn't make him anything more than a low-level PPR option, but it also likely pushes Week 9 star Richie James back to reserve status.
Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne has cleared the league COVID protocol and will be available for Sunday's game against the Bills. It's still a negative matchup for his fantasy outlook, though. We wouldn't be looking to use Bourne in fantasy football lineups unless you need to.
Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne has been placed on the COVID list, putting him in jeopardy of missing Sunday's game vs. the Bills. WR Nelson Agholor is also iffy for that one after sustaining a concussion in Saturday night's loss to the Colts. N'Keal Harry would be left as New England's #2 WR if Bourne and Agholor miss Sunday's game.
The Patriots signed WR Kendrick Bourne to a 3-year, $22.5 million contract, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Bourne spent the past 4 years in San Francisco and is coming off his best season as a pro -- but one that still amounted to just 49 catches for 667 yards and 2 scores. He might find a bit more opportunity in New England but still seems unlikely to emerge as a real fantasy asset. The Patriots have now added Bourne, WR Nelson Agholor and TE Jonnu Smith to their pass-catching corps on the 1st day of free agency. That doesn't bode well for WR Julian Edelman, who's uncertain for 2021, or WR N'Keal Harry. WR Jakobi Meyers' stock has also taken a hit today.
49ers WR Kendrick Bourne has been placed back on the COVID list. He landed there last week and missed the Packers game before it was discovered that he was a false-positive. It's unclear if he tested positive this time or was in contact with someone who did. If it's the latter, he has a chance to be cleared in time for this Sunday's game against the Saints.
49ers WR Kendrick Bourne has returned 2 consecutive negative COVID tests, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Bourne, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams can re-join the team immediately. It's a tough break that all 4 guys were forced to miss Thursday night's loss to the Packers, but they'll be eligible to play Week 10.
