Chargers RB Justin Jackson (groin) is doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. His absences leaves Larry Rountree as Los Angeles' clear #2 RB -- but Austin Ekeler might just pick up a few more touches.
Chargers RB Justin Jackson (groin) is out for this weekend's game vs. the Eagles. RBs Joshua Kelley and Larry Rountree figure to be active on Sunday, but neither is a fantasy option.
Chargers RB Justin Jackson (groin) isn't listed on the final injury report and will return for Sunday's game vs. the Ravens. He figures to pick up a few touches behind RB Austin Ekeler.
Chargers RB Justin Jackson (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Browns. RB Joshua Kelley is active for the 1st time this season, joining Larry Rountree behind Austin Ekeler.
Chargers HC Brandon Staley said Wednesday that RB Justin Jackson was a "full go" in practice, according to Gavino Borquez or Chargers Wire. Jackson missed most of August with a groin injury, but that issue appears to be behind him. His healthy return is especially noteworthy given that Austin Ekeler (hamstring) missed Wednesday's workout. Borquez adds that Jackson is "expected to resume his role as the primary backup" to Ekeler, with Joshua Kelley and Larry Rountree "likely to be short-yardage specialists and special teamers to start the season." Jackson should be picked up this week in most leagues of 12+ teams -- and perhaps even some 10-teamers.
RBs Justin Jackson, Joshua Kelley and Larry Rountree all made the Chargers' 53-man roster behind RB Austin Ekeler. It's still unclear how snaps and touches will be divvied between those 3. Jackson was reportedly in the lead for the #2 RB job before hurting his groin in the preseason opener. It'll be a situation to monitor in Week 1.
