Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (foot) is active for today’s game against the Browns. He dealt with some swelling in that foot early in the week but put in full workouts on Thursday and Friday. Williams is a strong RB1 vs. Cleveland’s 30th-ranked RB defense.
Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams underwent knee surgery on Wednesday, according to insider Mike Kaboly. We don't have a timetable for his return. If RB Le'Veon Bell goes down while Williams is out, Fitzgerald Touissant will step in as Pittsburgh's lead back.
Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Patriots. We haven’t heard any details about his injury, but he hasn’t been a fantasy option since Le’Veon Bell returned. Fitzgerald Toussaint will back up Bell this weekend.
Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos. As expected. Fitzgerald Toussaint will lead the way in Pittsburgh's backfield, with Jordan Todman also getting work. Don't expect the Steelers to have much rushing success, but Toussaint could be busy in the passing game.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (foot/ankle) is "not looking good" for Sunday's playoff game against the Broncos. Williams visited noted specialist Dr. Robert Anderson on Monday and must not have gotten good news. His absence would again leave the backfield to RBs Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman. Toussaint played 66% of the offensive snaps last week, totaling 118 yards on 21 touches. Todman was on the field for just 19% of the snaps but turned 11 carries in 65 yards. Both guys will have a much tougher challenge this weekend against Denver's stingy run defense.
Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (ankle/foot) is out for Saturday night's game against the Bengals, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That's the way it had been trending all week. Rapoport adds that "there's a chance" Williams plays next weekend if Pittsburgh knocks off Cincinnati. They'll need to do so with a backfield of Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman. Toussaint is the better bet for touches but is just a fantasy flier.
