The 2016 Falcons led the league in scoring and finished 2nd in total yards. So, not surprisingly, they don't want to alter the offense, despite the departure of OC Kyle Shanahan. "We love the way that we attack, and it took a lot of work to put that system in place," HC Dan Quinn said. "Along with [GM Thomas Dimitroff], we have a real emphasis now on how we can fit guys into that system. It's very important that we stay consistent with that." In theory, it's good news for QB Matt Ryan and Atlanta's skill-position guys. But we'll see exactly how similar the offense is under new OC Steve Sarkisian.
Falcons QB Matt Ryan (ankle) practiced all week and will play against the Saints on Sunday. New Orleans has tightened up against the pass lately, allowing just 5.8 yards per attempt and 4 total passing scores over the last 4 games. But Ryan remains in the lower-end QB1 mix in a game that should find him playing catch-up and chucking it plenty.
Falcons QB Matt Ryan (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He's fully expected back for this weekend's game against the Saints, but we'll continue to monitor his status over the next few days.
The Falcons have downgraded QB Matt Ryan to out for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. That means Matt Schaub will start for Atlanta, raising the fantasy ceiling for the Seattle defense.
Falcons QB Matt Ryan (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the Seahawks. He returned to practice on Friday, and HC Dan Quinn said they'll see how the ankle responds and make a decision on Ryan's status Saturday. Check back then for another update. QB Matt Schaub will draw the start if Ryan is out.
Falcons QB Matt Ryan (ankle) missed practice again on Thursday. He's looking unlikely to play against the Seahawks this weekend, but check back tomorrow for another update on his status.
