Eagles RB Darren Sproles (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game against the Panthers. HC Doug Pederson said Friday that Sproles is on track to practice next week. Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement will share the backfield again this weekend.
The Eagles are bringing back RB Darren Sproles on a 1-year deal. The 36-year-old has played in just 9 games over the past 2 seasons, missing time with a torn ACL, a fractured forearm and hamstring injuries. He's not even a lock to make the roster amid a crowded backfield. But it's also possible Sproles makes the team and plays a role in the passing game. He was targeted 30 times in 8 games last season (including playoffs). The veteran could be a drain on rookie RB Miles Sanders' receiving production.
Eagles RB Darren Sproles (hamstring) said Friday that he plans to play against the Redskins on Monday night. We’ll see how Philly lists him on the final injury report Saturday afternoon. We wouldn’t use Sproles in fantasy lineups in his 1st action since the season opener, but it’ll be interesting to see how big a role he plays. RB Josh Adams remains a fine RB2 for Week 13.
Eagles RB Darren Sproles (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday -- his 1st in about 3 weeks. It's unclear if he'll play against the Redskins on Monday night, but there's no way we can trust Sproles in Week 13 fantasy lineups.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Eagles RB Darren Sproles is expected to miss "multiple weeks" after aggravating his hamstring injury in practice on Wednesday. One source threw out a 3-4 week timetable. Sproles can be dropped from fantasy rosters. Wendell Smallwood, Josh Adams and Corey Clement will continue handling backfield duties for the Eagles.
Eagles RB Darren Sproles aggravated his hamstring injury in Wednesday's practice, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Philly was hoping to get Sproles back this week, but he's now out for Sunday night's game against the Cowboys and might miss significantly more time beyond that. Sproles is droppable outside of the deepest of PPR leagues. The Eagles will continue to go with Wendell Smallwood, Josh Adams and Corey Clement in the backfield.
