Patriots WR Julian Edelman left in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game in Tennessee with an ankle injury. He's officially questionable to return -- but don't expect to see him back out there with New England down big. We'll look for an update on Edelman's status.
Patriots WR Julian Edelman (chest) is active for today’s game against the Redskins. He played through this injury last week and should be ready for his usual role today.
Patriots WR Julian Edelman (chest) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Redskins. Although he mustered just 4 catches for 30 scoreless yards vs. Buffalo last week, he played 95% of the offensive snaps, so it doesn’t seem like the chest injury was a real factor. We like Edelman to bounce back in a much easier Week 5 matchup.
Patriots WR Julian Edelman (chest) is active for today’s game against the Bills. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported this morning that Edelman’s snaps could be limited, so there’s elevated risk here. But we liked Edelman’s matchup against slot CB Siran Neal.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Patriots WR Julian Edelman (ribs) is expected to play today but adds that his snaps could be limited. That obviously adds risk to his Week 4 profile. Even if his snaps are limited, though, we'd expect him to be out there in passing situations. We'll keep an eye out for further updates, but we're sticking with Edelman as a WR2.
NFL Network's Michael Giardi reports that Patriots WR Julian Edelman is traveling with the team to Buffalo and that the "expectation is he plays." That's been our expectation all week as well, given that Edelman has been practicing. There will likely be some pain-tolerance question to Edelman against the Bills, but his toughness has rarely been questioned. There's some risk to Edelman but also lots of reception upside.
