Dolphins S T.J. McDonald (ankle) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bills. It'll be the 2nd straight game he has missed. LB Kiko Alonso (knee, hamstring) is questionable for the 2nd straight week. Alonso was active last week but didn't play a snap. It sounds like Alonso will actually play this time around. HC Adam Gase told the South Florida Sun Sentinel on Friday: “He looks a lot better this week. It’s probably good that we didn’t play him [last week] because it could have gotten worse. He could have pulled it. He looks night and day from what I saw Sunday.” The hamstring appears to be the bigger issue. If active, Alonso will be usable this week. But he'll also carry elevated risk. Lead Dolphins CB Xavien Howard (knee) is also questionable after missing the past 3 weeks. He's not an IDP factor, and his status shouldn't matter for any particular Bills WR option.
Dolphins LB Kyle Van Noy (hip) and LB Jerome Baker (knee) are active for today's game against the Patriots. Each is in play for IDP use.
Dolphins LB Kyle Van Noy (hip) and LB Elandon Roberts (chest) are inactive for today's game against the Chiefs. That raises the IDP floor for LB Jerome Baker, who has seen inconsistent playing time throughout the season. The matchup keeps him from being a strong option, but Baker now sits inside the top 40 of our Week 14 LB rankings.
The Dolphins on Thursday placed LB Kyle Van Noy and DL Christian Wilkins on the COVID list. The team didn't announce whether the players tested positive or just had contact with someone who did. The timing challenges their availability for Sunday's game against the Chargers. We'll see whether Van Noy or Wilkins can make it back for game day, but you should plan as though they won't.
Dolphins S Reshad Jones (chest) is active for today's game against the Bills. He missed the past 4 games with a cracked rib but should be back in IDP lineups this week. Miami will not have DE Taco Charlton (elbow) or LB Raekwon McMillan (knee), who are inactive. Sam Eguavoen figures to see more playing time in McMillan's absence but is just a marginal IDP option.
