The Jaguars Take ANOTHER Rookie TE in Tanner Koziol

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Houston TE Tanner Koziol in Round 5 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Koziol was one of the most productive TEs in college football over the past two seasons. In fact, his 168 receptions were tops among all FBS players. Koziol posted a 94-839-8 line at Ball State in 2024, leading the team in all three categories. He took a step up in competition at Houston last year and pumped out 74 catches for 727 yards and 6 TDs. Koziol’s 27.7% dominator rating (share of team’s receiving yards + TDs) led the top 27 TEs in this year’s class. His 2.26 yards per route ranked second to only Eli Stowers. Koziol didn’t do much work downfield in college, with a career 8.1-yard average target depth. But he caught over 70% of his targets and scored on 10% of his receptions. Koziol checked in at 6’7, 247 pounds at the Combine and earned a 9.58 Relative Athletic Score. He checks a ton of boxes and is one of our favorite sleepers in this TE class.

Can RB Emmett Johnson Become the Chiefs No. 2 RB?

The Kansas City Chiefs selected Nebraska RB Emmett Johnson in Round 5 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Johnson’s college path wasn’t linear. He arrived as an overlooked recruit, redshirted, and then climbed past veteran competition before losing touches in 2024. Even in a split backfield, his receiving stood out, culminating in a 39-catch season that foreshadowed a larger role. When Nebraska committed fully in 2025, Johnson responded with 1,451 rushing yards and a class-high 46 receptions. Among the 20 RBs invited to the NFL Combine, Johnson ranked first in 2025 rushing market share (82.4%), and 15th in yards after contact per attempt (2.95). He ranked fourth in 2025 missed tackles forced per attempt (0.27) and sixth in receiving yards per route run (1.27). He is currently 22 years old.

Broncos Grab Pass-Catching TE Justin Joly in Round 5

The Denver Broncos selected NC State TE Justin Joly in Round 5 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Joly entered college as a two-star WR at 190 pounds. He committed to UConn, bulked up to 228, and played a WR/TE hybrid role. He led the team in receiving as a sophomore, finishing with a 56-578-2 line. A transfer to NC State expanded his role at a higher level. He added weight to reach 251 pounds and totaled 92-1,150-11 over two seasons with the Wolfpack. Among the 27 TEs invited to the NFL Combine, Joly ranked 14th in 2025 aDOT (7.6), and 10th in team market share of receiving yards (18.6%). He ranked ninth in 2025 receiving yards per team pass attempt (1.38) and seventh in receiving yards per route run (1.78). He is currently 21 years old.

Reggie Virgil Drafted as WR Depth for the Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals selected Texas Tech WR Reggie Virgil in Round 5 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Virgil caught just two passes across his first two seasons at Miami (Ohio) before grabbing a starting role in 2024. He earned second-team All-MAC honors that season, finishing second on the team with 816 receiving yards and first with 9 receiving TDs. Virgil parlayed that season into a move to Texas Tech this past year. There, he tallied a career-high and team-high 57 catches for 705 yards and 6 scores. Virgil mustered just 1.50 yards per route, though, ranking 44th among 49 WRs invited to this year’s Combine. The overall production profile is uninspiring, although it’s worth noting that Virgil is still only 21 and played QB up until 2020. That gives him more room for growth than the average rookie. But Virgil is ultimately unlikely to emerge as a real fantasy asset.

The Cincinnati Bengals selected Georgia WR Colbie Young in Round 4 of the 2026 NFL Draft. A no-star recruit out of high school, Young started his college career at Lackawanna. After posting a 24-472-9 line in 2021, he made a big step up in class at Miami. Young made an immediate impact there, leading the Canes with 5 receiving scores and ranking second on the team with 367 receiving yards in 2022. He finished third in catches (47), yards (563), and TDs (5) as a sophomore. Young then transferred to Georgia, where his career got off track. He was suspended from the team and missed the final 9 games of 2024 after being arrested for battery and assault. (Young eventually pled no contest to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct and received 12 months probation.) Then he missed six games this past year with a fractured left fibula. When he was on the field, Young averaged just 2.8 catches and 39.0 yards per game. He at least averaged a career-best 2.30 yards per route last year. Young goes 6’5, 218 pounds with deceptive speed and quickness. His route running needs work, but the size and early-career production make Young worth monitoring.

The New Orleans Saints selected North Dakota State WR Bryce Lance in Round 4 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Like his brother Trey, Lance starred at North Dakota State. He moved into the starting lineup in 2024 and immediately delivered. He posted back-to-back 1,000- yard seasons and earned first-team allconference honors both years. Lance brings ideal boundary size and vertical juice. He averaged 21.2 yards per catch in 2025 and posted an elite 3.57 yards per route run, one of the strongest efficiency marks in the class. The tape matches the numbers. Lance wins downfield with body control, tracking ability, and finishing strength. Competition level and age (25 in September) work against Lance

Among the 27 TEs invited to the NFL Combine, Hibner ranked third in average depth of target (8.8) and 20th in 2025 yards per route run (1.37). Bell caught 69 passes for 756 yards and 6 TDs across three seasons at Wisconsin before transferring to UConn in 2024. There, he became the program’s first consensus first-team All-American in 2025. He ranked fourth nationally in receptions, second in yards, and tied for third in TD catches. Bell offers inside-outside flexibility, running 39.1% of his collegiate routes from the slot. He also ranked eighth among qualifying WRs with 3.14 yards per route. The 6’1, 223-pounder ripped off 6.4 yards per rush and set career highs in carries (167), yards (1,070), and receptions (28). He also posted a sturdy 3.86 yards after contact per attempt, per PFF. Among the 20 RBs invited to the NFL Combine, Washington ranked eighth in 2025 rushing market share (46.3%), and fourth in yards after contact per attempt (3.86). Wetjen opened his college career with two seasons at Iowa Western Community College before walking on at Iowa. Wetjen was dynamic on special teams, though, averaging 27.5 yards per kick return, 17.7 yards per punt return, and scoring six total return TDs over the last three years. He ranked 11th nationally in receiving yards under HC Curt Cignetti and then followed his coach to Indiana. Sarratt led the team with 53 catches, 957 yards, and 8 TDs in 2024 before leading the nation in receiving scores in his final season. At 6’2 and 209 pounds, Sarratt wins with body control, strength, and timing. He consistently creates late separation, uses his frame to shield defenders, and highpoints the football as well as anyone in this class. He ended his career third in career passing yards at Clemson, but Klubnik struggled to make a major impact over his final two seasons. In 2025, Klubnik finished with 2,943 yards with 16 TDs and 6 INTs. His lack of arm strength in an RPO-style offense limited Klubnik’s production and consistency. Among the 15 QBs invited to the NFL Combine, Klubnik ranked seventh in 2025 adjusted completion percentage (77.6%), and ninth in aDOT (8.4). The Denver Broncos selected Washington RB Jonah Coleman in Round 4 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Coleman’s dynasty appeal isn’t tied to one spike season. It’s rooted in three years of steady production, physical running, and usable pass-game skills. He carved out a role early at Arizona before following H C Jedd Fisch to Washington and immediately claiming the No. 1 job. Coleman handled nearly two-thirds of the team’s carries in 2024. And that workload came with elite contact balance and strong yards-after-contact numbers -- despite poor run blocking. Among the 20 RBs invited to the NFL Combine, Coleman ranked 11th in 2025 rushing market share (41.5%), and seventh in yards after contact per attempt (3.58). Charges Add Deep Threat WR Brenen Thompson

The Chargers selected Mississippi State WR Brenen Thompson in Round 4 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Thompson is tiny: 5’9 and 164 pounds. That’s a first percentile weight among all WRs at the Combine since 1999. There have only been five 1,000-yard seasons from sub-170-pound WRs in NFL history. So Thompson would be an outlier if he delivers big fantasy numbers. But there’s plenty to like about his profile. He led Mississippi State and the entire SEC with 1,054 receiving yards last year. Thompson’s 34.3% dominator rating (share of his team’s receiving yards + TDs) ranked eighth among the 49 WRs invited to this year’s Combine. His 2.77 yards per route ranked seventh. Thompson blazed a 4.26-second 40 time at the Combine – and that speed shows up on tape. He ranked 11th in the country in yards (478) and TDs (5) on targets 20+ yards downfield last year. Thompson’s size figures to be a limiting factor in the NFL. But there’s enough speed and skill here for Thompson to at least emerge as a spike-week player for fantasy teams.

The 49ers drafted Indiana RB Kaelon Black in Round 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Black spent his first two seasons at James Madison, emerging as a sophomore with 891 total yards and a 27-254-4 receiving line. He followed HC Curt Cignetti to Indiana and, after a quiet 2024, earned a larger role last fall. Black held the 1B role behind fellow prospect Roman Hemby, posting 186-1040-10 (5.6 yards per carry). He was a non-factor in the passing game, though, mustering only 4 receptions for 36 yards. Overall, Black presents adequate size (5’9, 208 pounds) and a low pad level that helps him fight through contact. He posted a solid 3.47 yards after contact per attempt in 2025. Still, this is a surprising selection considering Black wasn't invited to the NFL Combine. He was graded by The Athletic's Dane Brugler as a 5th-6th round value.

The Miami Dolphins selected Louisville WR Chris Bell in Round 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft. At 6’2 and 222 pounds, Bell looks the part of an NFL starter with red-zone upside. He adds the strength and enough long speed to stress defenses, with insider Jordan Schultz writing last month that Bell’s “in-game GPS tracked him at low 4.3 speed in full pads.” Bell also improved his production each year, capping his career with a 72-917-6 line. An ACL tear on Nov. 22 clouds his short-term outlook and kept him out of Combine drills, but the 2025 season still offered reasons for optimism. Bell’s 2.55 yards per route run ranked 22nd among 105 WRs with 80+ targets. And his 41.2% Dominator Rating, which measures a WR’s share of team receiving yards and TDs, ranked third in this class behind Jordyn Tyson and Denzel Boston.

Fields tallied 36 catches, 640 yards, and 5 TDs for a run-leaning offense. He ranked second on the team in target share, reception share, and receiving yards share. Fields’ statistical decline raised questions about how much situation drove his earlier output. But his traits still demand attention. The numbers pop: 71 catches, 999 yards, and 6 scores. Primarily an outside player, Hurst posted a nice 14.1 yards per catch and 2.42 yards per route run. At 6’4 and 206 pounds, Hurst looks like an NFL boundary receiver. He pairs size and catch radius with vertical speed. His 34 receptions of 20+ yards across 2024-2025 led all FBS receivers. He’ll need to improve his hands, though, with drop rates of 9.0% and 9.7% over the past two seasons.
