Washington TE Ricky Seals-Jones (concussion) is out for Sunday’s finale vs. the Giants. That leaves rookie John Bates as the team’s top TE. He’d be a desperation season-long play but is a viable cheap option in DFS.
The Giants have reached a deal with TE Ricky Seals-Jones, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. RSJ matched his career high with 2.3 receptions per game for Washington last season, benefitting from Logan Thomas missing time. At the moment, he looks like the top pass-catching TE for a New York offense that let Evan Engram walk in free agency and released Kyle Rudolph. We'd bet that the Giants aren't done at the position, though.
Washington TE Ricky Seals-Jones is in the concussion protocol, HC Ron Rivera said Monday. It sounds like RSJ escaped further injury after being carted off the field during the Week 17 loss to the Eagles, but he's unlikely to play in this weekend's finale vs. the Giants. Seals-Jones absence would leave TE John Bates as a near every-down player.
Washington TE Ricky Seals-Jones was knocked out in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Eagles with a neck injury. He collided with a cameraman on the sidelines and had to be carted off the field. We'll update RSJ's status when we know more. TE John Bates should be a full-time player for Washington the rest of this one.
Washington TE Ricky Seals-Jones (illness) is active for tonight's game vs. the Eagles. He split snaps with TE John Bates last time out and will be catching passes from QB Garrett Gilbert tonight. RSJ isn't an attractive fantasy option, despite this plus matchup.
