Patriots DE Chandler Jones has been seen on crutches recently as he rehabs from post-Super Bowl surgery, according to ESPN Boston. We haven't seen details on the procedure, but those close to Jones reportedly say there's no long-term concern. Jones lost 6 games last year to a hip injury. We'll keep an eye on his status once on-field workouts begin.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that EDGE Chandler Jones is finalizing a deal with the Raiders that's expected to average $17 million a year. Jones has delivered 10+ sacks in every season since 2013 that has seen him play at least 10 games. His 10.5 sacks last year marked his low for that span, though, and Jones' 47 total pressures tied for just 44th in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. He'll start opposite Maxx Crosby for a Vegas team that is reportedly trading Yannick Ngakoue. Jones turned 32 in February, so we wouldn't be surprised if his production declines further. On the positive side, moving to the Raiders defense should mean DE eligibility rather than LB in fantasy football leagues that rely on those designations. We'll see about Jones' draft price in IDP leagues this summer.
The Cardinals on Monday activated EDGE Chandler Jones from the COVID list. Their lead pass rusher missed the past 2 games but should be available for Thursday night's clash with the Packers. Arizona also activated DE Zach Allen from the COVID list.
Cardinals EDGE Chandler Jones will not come off the COVID list in time for Sunday’s game against the Texans, according to Darren Urban of the team website.
Cardinals OLB Chandler Jones will miss the rest of the season after surgery to repair his right biceps. Jones suffered the injury in Sunday's win over the Jets. Kylie Fitts replaced him and figures to start going forward. Fitts is a 3rd-year player the Bears drafted in Round 6 in 2018. He brings a 78th-percentile speed score but posted just 1 good season of college production. We'll see how he fares, but Fitts isn't on the IDP radar right now.
Cardinals OLB Chandler Jones left Sunday's win over the Jets early with a biceps injury. The Cardinals expect Jones to miss some time, though it's not yet clear how much. It appears that Jones is weighing his options and hoping to not miss the rest of the season. We'll keep an eye out for a return timeline. In the meantime, make sure you get a replacement for your IDP roster. Kylie Fitts came on for Jones against the Jets. He collected 3 tackles (2 solo) and 2 hurries.
