Cardinals DC James Bettcher says Cardinals top CB Patrick Peterson won't be following Bucs WR Mike Evans around the formation Sunday. “I think there will be some situations where those two guys will be together,” Bettcher said of Peterson on Evans, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss. “There’ll be situations where he’ll be on Jackson, too. We’ll see on Sunday how they play us and how they do some stuff what those matchups will be.” That's good news for Evans' fantasy outlook, as he should see Arizona rookie CB Brandon Williams at times. Tampa Bay's passing game could prove dangerous all season. At the least, both Evans and Vincent Jackson are certainly in play across full-season and DFS fantasy formats this week.
The Bucs have placed WRs Mike Evans and Scott Miller on IR with their hamstring injuries. WR Chris Godwin (hamstring) remains on the active roster but is a long shot to play against the Texans on Saturday.
Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game against the Lions. WR Scott Miller (hamstring) practiced all week and is set to return. It’s unclear how WR snaps will be split between Miller, Breshad Perriman and Justin Watson behind #1 Chris Godwin. Perriman is the best fantasy bet of the trio, but consider him just a WR4 flier.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) will miss the final 3 weeks of the season. He can be dropped from redraft rosters. Tampa is down to WRs Breshad Perriman, Justin Watson and Scott Miller (hamstring) behind Chris Godwin. We could see TE O.J. Howard's volume get a boost with Evans out.
Bucs HC Bruce Arians isn't expecting WR Mike Evans (hamstring) to play again this season. "It's not good," Arians said. "I'll be shocked if Mike makes it back before the last week." With Evans exiting late in the 1st quarter of Sunday's win over the Colts, WR Breshad Perriman played 83% of the snaps and saw 5 targets; WR Justin Watson posted a 55% snap rate and 8 targets. Both guys will be intriguing fantasy fliers in a plus Week 15 matchup against the Lions.
Bucs WR Mike Evans' injured hamstring is "not good," HC Bruce Arians said after the win over the Colts. "I'll be shocked if he makes it back before next week," Arians added. WRs Justin Watson and Breshad Perriman combined for 13 targets, 8 catches, 129 yards and 2 scores in Evans' place today. We'll see how the snaps were divvied between them, but both guys could be deeper-league fantasy options vs. the Lions in Week 15.
