Updating a previous item, the Browns have activated WR Josh Gordon from the non-football injury list, and he's cleared to participate in any team activities -- including full practices and games. We'll see if he can make it into real action before the regular season begins, but know that drafting Gordon likely won't give you a Week 1 starting option in fantasy -- at least not a guy you can count on.

Update: Gordon tweaked his hamstring shortly after returning to the team. Any extra missed time only adds risk to an already volatile fantasy pick.

Recent Shark Bites

Seahawks WR Josh Gordon has been suspended indefinitely for violating the league's policies on performance-enhancing substances and substances of abuse. It's his 5th suspension. This could and probably should be the end of Gordon's NFL career. Seattle will go back to WRs David Moore and Malik Turner behind Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf.

Seahawks WR Josh Gordon is active for tonight's game against the 49ers. We'll be keeping a close eye on how big a role he plays in his team debut, but he's nothing more than a DFS flier tonight.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said there's a "good chance" WR Josh Gordon plays against the 49ers on Monday night. "He did really well," Carroll said of Gordon's first week of practice with the team. "He was very impressive in terms of picking stuff up, studying overtime. He fit in really well. He's a really good athlete. You can really tell that he's got a lot of potential to be a big-time player, so it was fun to see him on the practice field. He did a nice job." We'll see exactly how big a role Gordon plays after joining the team a little over a week ago, but he shouldn't be in Week 10 fantasy lineups.

The Seahawks have claimed WR Josh Gordon off waivers. It's an interesting landing spot, to say the least. We'll see when Gordon is healthy enough and comfortable enough in Seattle's offense to play, but he's worth a stash in deeper fantasy leagues.

The Patriots are releasing WR Josh Gordon from IR, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. We'll see where he lands and then when he's able to return from his knee injury. Gordon is worth stashing in deeper fantasy leagues but isn't a great bet to re-emerge as a bankable fantasy asset down the stretch.
