Texans DE J.J. Watt (knee) is active for today’s game against the Browns, as expected. Keep him locked into IDP lineups.

Recent Shark Bites

Texans DE J.J. Watt is opening training camp on the active/PUP list. He had a knee "cleaned up" in January and is likely just getting a little extra rest to rebound from that. We've seen no indication the star DE has a worrisome issue, and he's coming off his 1st 16-game season in 3 years (with 16 sacks). Expect Watt to be fine for IDP fantasy football drafts.

Texans DE J.J. Watt is questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns with a knee issue that limited his practice all week. It doesn't sound like Watt's in danger of missing the game, but we'll check on his status Sunday morning.

Texans DE J.J. Watt says things are going well as he works his way back from the broken leg that ended his season in Week 5. “It’s doing really, really well,” Watt said, per ESPN's Sarah Barshop. “[I’m] very excited about where it’s going. I’m on track for training camp. But my assumption is that it shouldn’t be any problem, but if it needs a couple extra weeks, whatever, we’ll take it. From my understanding and from everybody here’s understanding, the way it’s looking, everything’s going really well. There shouldn’t be any issues.” We'll keep an eye on him as training camp approaches. A healthy Watt remains a potentially dominant force both on the field and IDP fantasy football leagues.

Texans DE J.J. Watt suffered a lateral tibial plateau fracture in his left knee against the Texans. Cowboys LB Anthony Hitchens suffered the same injury in late August in his right knee and returned to action this weekend -- 6 weeks later. We'll await further word on Watt's outlook from the team.

Update: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Watt will miss the rest of the season.

Texans DE J.J. Watt left in the 1st quarter of Sunday night's game against the Chiefs with a serious-looking left knee injury. Houston quickly ruled him out for the rest of the game. We'll await further diagnosis. OLB Whitney Mercilus also left in the 1st quarter with a chest injury and was quickly ruled out for the game. That removes 2 key pass rushers from the Texans D.
