49ers WRs Dante Pettis (foot) and Marquise Goodwin (calf) are active for today’s game against the Seahawks. We’re not expecting either guy to be limited by his injury. Pettis is a WR3 with upside. Goodwin can’t be trusted in fantasy lineups after playing just 33% of the snaps last week.
The Bears added WR Dante Pettis on a 1-year deal. The former 2nd-round pick of the 49ers has been a total bust, mustering only 52 catches across his first 4 NFL seasons. Pettis is still just 26 and lands on a Bears team desperate for WR help. But we'll need to see something positive from him this summer before considering him in fantasy drafts.
49ers WR Dante Pettis told reporters Friday that his "body's back to normal" after battling a groin injury. He added that he expects to play more than the 2 snaps he did in the opener. We'll need to see Pettis' role grow -- and grow significantly -- before considering him for fantasy lineups.
49ers WR Dante Pettis played just 2 snaps in Sunday's win over the Bucs. HC Kyle Shanahan said afterward that Pettis' groin injury was at least partly to blame. "He had health issues," Shanahan said. "That's why he missed a week of practice. He just got cleared to come back on Monday, so he was a little behind the 8 ball on that. But he didn't start the game, and we didn't have a ton of long drives where we got into the substitution flow." Pettis, of course, had a rough August and put in full practices last Thursday and Friday. So we're not ready to say the groin was the only reason for the limited playing time. Pettis is still worth stashing in most fantasy leagues but can't be trusted in Week 2 lineups.
49ers WR Dante Pettis (groin) is not listed on the final injury report after putting in full practices on Thursday and Friday. WRs Trent Taylor (foot) and Jalen Hurd (back) are both out for this weekend’s opener against the Bucs. Marquise Goodwin is expected to serve as the #2 WR, with Kendrick Bourne, Deebo Samuel and Richie James filling spots 3 through 5.
49ers WR Dante Pettis (groin) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. He's good to go for this weekend's plus matchup against the Bucs.
