The Names to Know Among 2022 NFL Free Agents

By Matt Schauf | Updated on Tue, 01 Aug 2023 . 2:10 PM EDT

Have you already started jumping into 2022 best-ball fantasy football drafts? Are you managing offseason dynasty rosters?

Whether you're doing 1 or both -- or even just getting a headstart on 2022 draft plans -- free agency will play a key role in player valuations. It's obviously about more than just where the most prominent names land. Plenty of movers will impact not only their new rosters, but available opportunity on the teams they leave behind.

So we've used the Spotrac free-agent listing to compile the potentially fantasy-relevant players facing NFL free agency this March. Keep these names in mind as you make your draft and/or roster decisions this offseason. And we'll be watching to see where these guys wind up.

I've been pretty liberal with who counts as "relevant" here, but feel free to let me know of anyone you believe should be added.

The IDP side gets a little trickier for position designations -- especially with MyFantasyLeague.com shifting to "true position" formats for 2022. That should mean better grouping of similar players (think T.J. Watt and Myles Garrett at the same position).

For now, I've tried to group these players appropriately. But if you don't see a guy at the position he plays in your league, make sure to check the other designation he might carry.
